Salt Dunes of St. Kilda

I went for a drive yesterday, out past the St. Kilda Salt Pans where Cheetham Salt produce their table salt. They’re on Port Wakefield Road, the main road north of Adelaide out towards Pt. Augusta, as well as out to the Yorke & Eyre Peninsulas. My family owns a smale house at Pt. Vincent where we used to spend Christmas/New Year’s almost every year when I was little. So these dunes are cemented in my early memories of those long (to me when I was 4 at least) drives.

Yesterday the weather was perfect – no clouds, bue sky – and there was water on the pans. I couldn’t resist!
