Beginning…

After a couple of attempts to start a photoblog in the past, I figured I’d try and use this as more of a general blog, but with lots of photography. I’ll be depositing various photos I take throughout 2010 here for your pleasure. I’m planning to do more photography this year for myself. Last year I took up live band photography, but I want to diversify a bit – try some new things with architectural thoughts running throug my head, as well get back into film (finances willing!).

To kick things off, here are a couple of shots from my last gig in November (it’s been a while, but December was busy!). I shot Static-X, Se Bon Ki Ra & Deafening Silence at Fowler’s Live. I used to be a pretty big fan of Static-X after listening to Shadow Zone, but my love of their music has waned a little – they’ve left that sound behind and seem to have gone back to their slightly out there nu-metal style. But I was keen to shoot this gig nonetheless. The place was packed and I at least had a crowd barrier to hide on front of. (Some venues could learn from that – not looking at anyone, The Ed Castle or The Gov…)
